CORE Dismal Patrol Security Roving Officer

Overview

CORE Dismal Patrol #1 Security Roving Officer works in the Dismal, VA area. The officer is responsible for checking multiple gates, sites, and areas. The officer communicates to HMP (base of operations) by CB radio and a shortwave (Icom) radio. Communication skills are a must. Must be a team player, and function well within a team role. Must be able to be trusted to work long hours in a remote environment.

Clean driving record is a plus.

• Check multiple gates, sites, and areas.
• Communicate with base of operations (HMP) via CB radio and shortwave (Icom) radio.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining dependable and professional conduct.
• Work long hours in a remote environment.

• Experience in security is a plus but not required.
• MSHA (mine safety training) will be provided.
• Security officer class training and state licensing can be provided.
• Ability to obtain and maintain private security officer credentials as required by the state.
• Clean driving record is a plus.

We offer full medical, vision, and dental benefits. Paid vacation. This is a career position with 40+ hours per week. Hours will rarely drop below 40, and overtime is often available. We hire for long-term roles; if you are not interested in a 5+ year commitment, this role may not be for you. We work nights, weekends, and holidays. Scheduling is flexible when possible.
