As a Security Officer – Access Control Transportation in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent transportation location, you will be responsible for access control, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and manage flow of personnel and visitors.
• Provide customer service by following site‑specific security‑related policies and responding to inquiries from guests, staff, and/or the public.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
  
  Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including evacuations, medical incidents, or other urgent events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity, security‑related risks, or hazards.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or issues in daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service‑related experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
