Unarmed Security Officer

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is hiring dependable Unarmed Security Officers to help protect properties, monitor activity, and maintain safe environments in Toano, Virginia, and nearby areas. • Patrol assigned buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help prevent unauthorized access.
• Check visitors and verify identification when required.
• Watch for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or property damage.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms when assigned.
• Respond calmly to complaints, disturbances, and other security concerns.
• Report incidents to supervisors or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain daily activity logs and complete incident reports.
• Follow company policies and the security instructions for each location.
• Arrive on time, maintain a professional appearance, and complete assigned duties responsibly.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to the assigned work location.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform routine security patrols.
• Must be able to read instructions and complete basic written reports.
• Must have good communication skills and pay attention to details.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions.
• Must be willing to work available shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the assignment.
• Must meet applicable background-check requirements.
• Must comply with the uniform and appearance standards for the assigned post.

• Current Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registration is preferred, or applicants must be eligible and willing to complete the required registration and training process.
• Previous security experience is helpful but not always required.
• Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, military service, or public safety is a plus.
• CPR and first aid certification is beneficial but not required unless specified for the assignment.
• Applicants should demonstrate good judgment, professional behavior, and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

Officers must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Some assignments may require a Class A black uniform. Radios and other job-related equipment may be provided according to the needs of the assigned location.
Available shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays. Specific shift times and weekly hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
