- Job Description:

This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. This position would be the 2nd shift, 2:30 PM to 12 AM on the 9/80 standard schedule, but must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and be on call as required. The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions.

Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.

Essential Functions:

40%- Electrical Maintenance - Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment. 50% - Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.). 10%- 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:
* Virginia Journeyman electrician license strongly preferred. Training from a trade school is a plus.
* Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting.
* Proficient computer skills (such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel) desired.
* Very safety and environmentally conscious. L3
