Position Summary: Responsible for developing the full potential of existing crop insurance accounts and developing new accounts through direct solicitation.

Primary Duties- Cultivate and expand: nurture existing crop accounts and explore new opportunities through direct engagement with farmers.
- Innovate and connect: establish and develop new crop accounts, fostering lasting relationships within the agricultural community.
- Claim support: collaborate with adjusters and manage claims efficiently, ensuring seamless service for our clients.
- Off‑season growth: continue to maintain and expand farm accounts even during the off‑season for crop insurance.
- Mentorship: assist less experienced agents in mastering the art of selling farm and crop insurance.
- Educational leadership: support the Farm & Crop Specialist by organizing and conducting informative classes and seminars.
- Conduct annual reviews of Farm Bureau members’ crop insurance accounts to ensure optimal coverage.
- Engage in diverse tasks as assigned, contributing to the vibrant team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; farming/agricultural experience is a bonus.
- Motivation & initiative: a self‑starter with a positive attitude and strong negotiation skills.
- Professionalism: uphold high ethical and moral standards.
- Independence & teamwork: thrive working independently and collaboratively.
- Problem‑solving & communication: demonstrate effective problem‑solving skills and excellent oral and written communication.
- Dependability: reliable and consistent in task completion.
- Tech savviness: competency with basic computer and word processing skills.
- Agricultural insight: in‑depth knowledge of grain farming practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally related field.
- Possession of a P&C License.
