Job Title: Facilities Technician (Electrician) – 2nd Shift

Job Location: Orange, Virginia
Job Schedule: 9/80 – Employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours worked, with every other Friday off.
Job Description: This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. It is a 2nd shift role, 2:30 PM to 12 AM on the 9/80 standard schedule, but the technician must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and be on call as required. The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics, and locally generated instructions.
Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards and follow work procedures while working on facilities and production equipment.
- 40% – Electrical Maintenance:
Work with, troubleshoot, and repair plant manufacturing equipment; perform preventive maintenance on equipment. - 50% – Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (e.g., upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators).
- 10% – 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
Qualifications: Requires a high‑school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years of post‑secondary / associate degree with 0–2 years of prior related experience.
- Virginia Journeyman electrician license strongly preferred. Training from a trade school is a plus.
- Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel) desired.
- Strong safety and environmental consciousness.
