Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years experience in the same area.
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualification level. Eligible for bonus incentive.
Hourly wage range: $23.00–$45.00* (actual rate at or above the minimum wage applicable).
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
