The Mechanic position will perform regular full-facility preventative maintenance. Must maintain road worthiness for fleet of dry van trailers. This means, changing tires, hubs, brakes, airbags and performing routine maintenance and annual inspections. Repair all malfunctioning equipment and machinery. Diesel knowledge is a requirement.

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs/installations utilizing a wide range of tools including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, and welding machines.
• Maintain upkeep of all equipment on site.
• Be able to change tires, light work, adjust and change brakes, wheel seal, trouble shoot air systems, replace landing gears with knowledge of welding.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required.

• Must be able to work on tractor trailers:
  • change trailer tires
  • change brakes
  • change out airbags
  • diagnose light issues
  • repair holes in trailer floors properly
  • landing gear repairs
• Work on heavy machinery:
  • front end loader routine maintenance and diagnose issues
• bandsaws
  • change out bearings
  • diagnose issues
• chop saws
  • change out bearings
  • diagnose issues
• Manual feed saws
  • change out bearings
  • diagnose issues
• Routine service of tractor, service truck and any other equipment

• Frequent lifting and bending.
• Ability of standing and walk for extended periods of time.

• The work environment consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
• Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection is provided).
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving forklifts.
