Field Welder​/Line Bore Technician

Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques.

• Responsible for field welding to include line boring services (where applicable)
• Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures utilizing oxygen‑acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools
• Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding projects
• Estimates material and labor
• Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered
• Other functions and responsibilities as requested by management

• Must have prior welding experience
• Knowledge of applicable codes
• Proficient in welding techniques (oxygen‑acetylene, electric arc, and TIG), tools and equipment
• Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
• Must have line boring experience
• MUST HAVE CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement
