Electromechanical Reliability Technician — Direct Mail ProductionA day in this role

You step onto the production floor where high-speed inserters, folders, and sorters are humming. Before the first run, you inspect critical systems, complete quick setups, and clear any overnight alerts. When a machine throws a “red light,” you’re the first on scene—diagnosing electrical or mechanical faults, swapping parts, and verifying safe operation so output stays on schedule and clients get flawless results.

Throughout the day, you partner with operators, coach newer techs on solid troubleshooting habits, and log every repair and PM action so future runs get even smoother. You keep the workspace neat, communicate safety concerns immediately, and keep costs in check by preventing repeat downtime and avoiding quality escapes.

What you’ll own Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment used in a direct mail environment to maximize uptime and extend asset life.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues; respond rapidly to machine stoppages and “red lights” to limit production interruptions.

Complete machine setups to prepare equipment for production.

Collaborate with operators on daily maintenance needs and real-time troubleshooting to keep lines running smoothly.

Order and install replacement parts; perform lubrication and other scheduled PM activities.

Train and support other technicians in troubleshooting and core preventive maintenance practices.

Maintain precise records of service, repairs, and parts usage.

Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all safety policies and procedures, and communicate incidents and near misses.

Adhere to departmental SOPs and company policies; pitch in on additional duties that help the team succeed.
