Software Application Engineer - Senior Level

** An active Top Secret with SCI clearance is required for this position **

We are seeking a self-starting, creative experienced Senior Software Application Engineer to join our team in supporting our DoD client. The working environment requires an innovative-minded developer who can work closely with our client identifying and developing advanced concept applications.

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design and development of application architectures to support the DoD client objectives. These applications will include various areas such as modeling and simulation, graph analysis and protocol development and analysis, large data integration, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. Other responsibilities include:

• Interface design and development experience
• Applications may be developed solo and in team environments.
• Capture and create software application requirements
• Perform rapid application prototyping to evaluate concepts to be integrated into permanent frameworks
• Design and develop scalable application frameworks
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and principles

Requirements

Key Skills

• Develop application and service software using .NET C#, Python, C++, or other common application development language
• Experience with Git Lab
• Experience with creating and integrating Mongo
  
  DB databases
• Design and develop software functionality utilizing programming IDEs such as Visual Studio or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, curious about new technologies, and eager to demonstrate creativity through code

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a computer science and engineering field of study plus 3 years of experience, or five (5) years of technical experience in developing complex applications
• Security+ CE Certification
• Experience and a strong desire to invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative solutions
• Ability to work and communicate with customers, teammates, and other technical staff
• Experience designing and building desktop applications along with the back-end components used to support it

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience working with .NET C#, Python, Mongo
  
  DB, and any relational databases
• Creative user Interface design experience
• Ability to investigate and apply advanced algorithms, models, and frameworks to cutting-edge applications

• U.S. citizen with currently active Secret security clearance (or higher)
