Job Summary

Lawrence Companies is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our truck shop team. This role serves as the primary point of contact between drivers, internal departments, and technicians-ensuring repairs, maintenance, and service needs are handled efficiently, accurately, and professionally.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between drivers, technicians, and management
• Open, track, and close work orders for fleet and customer vehicles
• Schedule maintenance and repair appointments
• Communicate repair status, timelines, and costs clearly and professionally
• Verify concerns, document service needs, and relay accurate information to technicians
• Review completed work orders for accuracy before billing or closing out
• Maintain service records and documentation in maintenance systems
• Assist with parts coordination and approvals as needed
• Promote safety, compliance, and quality standards at all times

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Maintenance Coordinator, or similar role preferred
• Experience in a truck shop, fleet maintenance, diesel, or heavy equipment environment is a strong plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy shop environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn
• Proficient with computers and maintenance/work order systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment

• Fast-paced truck shop and fleet operations setting
• Regular interaction with technicians, drivers, and operations staff
• Occasional exposure to shop noise and equipment
