Role Description The IT Sales Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Vishakhapatnam. This role is responsible for leading and mentoring a sales team focused on selling web design, digital marketing, and custom software solutions to new and existing clients. Daily tasks include setting sales targets, monitoring team performance, conducting pipeline reviews, and providing coaching to improve conversion rates and deal sizes.
The IT Sales Team Lead will identify new market opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, conduct product demos, and prepare proposals tailored to client needs. The role also involves close collaboration with marketing, technical, and delivery teams to ensure accurate scoping, smooth project handover, and high client satisfaction, while regularly reporting sales metrics and forecasts to management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in IT sales, preferably in web development, digital marketing, or software solutions, with prior team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and closing B2B deals in a target-driven environment.
Ability to motivate, coach, and develop sales team members, including setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing structured feedback.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical offerings into clear business value for clients.
Familiarity with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic sales analytics to track performance and optimize processes.
Basic understanding of web technologies, digital marketing concepts, and software development life cycle to engage confidently with clients and internal teams.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Previous experience in the Vishakhapatnam or regional market and knowledge of local business landscape is an advantage.
