Job Summary
Sequoias Community College District is hiring a full‑time, tenure‑track Emergency Medical Services (EMT) Faculty member. The position is based at the Hanford Campus but may include teaching at Visalia or Tulare campuses and evening classes as required. Salary range is $88,554.00 – $ annually.

Job Duties- Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate EMS educational program offerings.
- Prepare and deliver instruction for the EMT program on‑site or off‑site and supervise participant activities.
- Maintain program, course, and student records; calculate and submit grades; prepare reports.
- Participate in continuing professional development and program marketing events.
- Lead, train, and recruit staff, student employees, and interns as needed.
- Engage in curriculum development, course coordination, and instruction.
- Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by the program director.
- Assume leadership roles within the department and the college.
- Commit to student, department, college, and community service.
- Collaborate across disciplines and utilize student support resources.
- Participate in committees, governance activities, and curriculum development.
- Work collegially and enhance professional development.
- Create a dynamic learning environment, engage diverse students, and adapt pedagogy.
- Incorporate new technologies and communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Maintain office hours and campus engagement.
- Associate's degree + 6 years allied health experience OR bachelor's degree + 2 years allied health experience.
- Physician, RN, PA, Paramedic, certified EMT, or licensed in California.
- At least 40 hours of instruction in teaching methodology.
- Knowledge of U.S. DOT National EMS Education Standards.
- Completed relevant instructor courses (e.g., CSFM, NFA, NAEMSE).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds (Title 5).
- Experience teaching ethnically diverse students.
- Clinical teaching experience in out‑of‑hospital EMS.
- Ability to develop and update syllabi, assessments, and learning outcomes.
- Use of varied teaching strategies and assessment methods.
- Completed online application.
