Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $37.00/hr

About This JobAs a Customer Specialist, you will provide an iconic experience for our customers by guiding and supporting them at every step of their Car Max journey. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure each customer has a positive experience buying and selling cars, reinforcing our values of honesty and transparency.
Essential Responsibilities- Guide customers through every step, from sales and appraisals to test drives and financing.
- Conduct vehicle condition assessments and communicate information to buyers for appraisals.
- Check in and receive vehicles shipped to Car Max; complete daily scanning and reconciliation.
- Perform cosmetic inspections and ensure vehicles meet Car Max Quality Standards.
- Handle administrative duties including printing reports, maintaining paperwork, and managing cash/payment processes.
- Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for accuracy.
This high‑energy retail sales environment requires quick rapport building, understanding customer needs, and managing diverse tasks such as vehicle sales, paperwork processing, and repair orders, all with limited supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements- Exceptional communication skills.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred sales and customer service experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

BenefitsPaid sick, vacation, and holiday time per state law. Full‑time hourly associates may earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year and 80–200 hours of vacation after 90 days of continuous service. Full‑time salaried associates have paid time off for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays as needed.
