* * 7021 Co-Mgmt Program-Cardiovascular The RN-Cardiovascular Quality & Data Coordinator is responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives across the cardiovascular service line by collecting, extracting, and analyzing clinical data to ensure compliance with national standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital performance goals. This role collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, administrators, and quality teams to drive excellence in patient outcomes, safety, and care delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS License /Certification

Required:

CA RN license

Preferred:
Certification in Quality, Cardiac Nursing, or related specialty preferred (e.g., CPHQ, CVRN).

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred:
Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.

Experience

Required:

Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiac or cardiovascular.  Preferred:
Experience in quality management, clinical data analysis, or registry data submission.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of national cardiovascular quality programs, measures, and registries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Essential

Collects, extracts, validates, and analyzes cardiovascular clinical data from electronic health records and other reporting systems.

Prepares and submits data to national registries (e.g., ACC, STS, CDR, AHA, CMS quality measures) and internal stakeholders.

Identifies trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and process measures.

Partners with leadership, physicians, and frontline staff to implement evidence-based best practices and performance improvement initiatives.

Assists in the development of action plans and track progress toward quality goals.

Monitors compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Develops and delivers quality and performance improvement reports, dashboards, and presentations. Participates in multidisciplinary committees, work groups, and service line planning meetings.

Educates staff on documentation requirements, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.

Evaluates processes and apply appropriate tools to current projects.

Serves as a subject matter expert for cardiovascular quality improvement activities within the service line.

Additional    Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
** Pay Range**$47.35 -$71.03
