Job Summary
Warehouse Leads are responsible for the direct oversight of processes and personnel in specific or various functions. They help supervisors maintain productivity and flow of warehouse departments and implement policies and procedures to create a safe, organized, and productive work environment. $24.00 per Hour
.
- Work with supervisor(s) to maintain productivity and flow of daily functions (kitting, pulling, packing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, training, quality).
- Guide warehouse associates in various departments.
- Handle daily issues concerning processes within the job function.
- Maintain productivity numbers per warehouse standards.
- Report personnel issues to management; disciplinary actions handled by management.
- Collaborate with warehouse manager, supervisors, and leads to develop process improvement and customer satisfaction strategies.
- Serve as point person for new issues relayed to employees.
- Track errors and provide feedback to employees.
- Participate in warehouse meetings and interview prospective employees when needed.
- Perform daily functions (kit, pull, pack, ship) to meet daily goals.
- Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
- Comply with company policies, quality management system, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Use electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material pulling and putting away.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem solver, team player, organization, time management, attention to detail, adaptability, dependability.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of warehouse associate experience preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Proficient in spelling, grammar, punctuation.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, etc.).
- Ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in fast‑paced team environment.
- Ability to work independently and safely.
Stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, interact with clients and coworkers. Must have mobility for warehouse setting, operate forklift if required, lift up to 50 lbs with proper equipment.
Working Conditions- Work environment noise generally moderate.
- Exposure to moving equipment: pallet jacks, forklifts, lift trucks, conveyors.
