Job SummaryThe Cup Room Operator (CRT) is responsible for maintaining the operation of heat seal and glue seal machines for the production of paper cups. CRTs will ensure machines are kept clean and in good working condition, clean any spills in the production area, monitor machine operation, check fluids, make adjustments, and maintain cleanliness so the machines can continue running properly. CRTs load paper stock into the machines for the production of paper cups and communicate any quality problems with the Quality Dept and packers.
All employees must follow Graphic Packaging International safety procedures and policies, including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and safety goggles.
Experience/Skills Required- 1-2+ years of recent experience manufacturing/industrial machine operator experience.
- Ability to stand for long periods with scheduled breaks.
- Prior experience using a pallet jack is highly preferred.
- Ability to walk around machines/equipment; surfaces are mostly concrete.
- Ability to lift/carry approximately 35 lbs; typical distance 5–10 feet.
- Ability to use a two-step stepstool and ladders (6–10 feet) with rails for equipment inspection/maintenance/repair.
- Ability to bend forward up to 90 degrees when repairing or maintaining machines.
- Ability to reach between waist and shoulder height on a frequent basis.
- Ability to work in a high-paced and multi-task environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Overtime may be required, including weekends. Company operates 24/7.
Includes Bristol brush, latex gloves, paper, pen, grease pen, grease gun, oil machines, standard tools (utility knife, wrenches, pliers, etc.).
