Arconic is currently in search of a Material Handler to join our Kawneer Team in Visalia
. Base pay is $21.18/hour. • Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
• Inspect extrusions for scratches, dents, and quality.
• Read work orders and follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Follow the MDR Process.
• Identify material by part number and product finish.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials onto material racks and carts; install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination or signal crane or hoisting operators to move load.
• Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands.
• Lift heavy objects by hand, and clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Assemble crates to contain products when required.
• Store materials such as metals, tools, or chemicals in designated areas.
• Provide backup support in other areas and departments when needed.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to six months related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and supervisors.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply simple numbers).
• Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to address minor problems in standard work situations.
• Preferred certifications: mobile equipment license, forklift, side‑loader, electric pallet jack, and overhead crane.

• Stand for long periods.
• Repetitively lift up to 40 pounds (about one‑third of body weight).
• Work 12‑hour days.
• Wear required PPE.
• Bend and twist repeatedly.
