We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative and high-performing trauma team in Visalia, CA. This Level III trauma center manages approximately 2,200 annual trauma activations and provides comprehensive inpatient, consultative, and perioperative care. The APP will work alongside attending surgeons, residents, and intensivists to deliver high-quality trauma and emergency surgical services in both the ICU and surgical wards.
Compensation: $135,420 per 15 shift per month per year plus full benefits
Key Responsibilities- Provide daytime coverage for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services.
- Collaborate with attending surgeons and residents in managing trauma and surgical patients.
- Perform ER consults, assist in postoperative care, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Participate in the management of surgical ward and ICU patients, ensuring continuity of care.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice in trauma care.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Experience: Surgical or trauma experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent clinical assessment, procedural, and critical thinking abilities.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, residents, and nursing staff.
