Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, receive and repeat food orders, charge the correct price, provide change for each transaction.
  • Enact gift cards requested by customers.
  • Be familiar with and up to date on California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner.
  • Make corrections to customer orders quickly and efficiently.
  • Determine counterfeit money and respond appropriately.
  • Verify age requirements before serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Treat all customers to ensure their complete satisfaction.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; well‑groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times.
  • Clean and maintain equipment used.
  • Complete requirements for in‑service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Prior experience in cashier or food service positions.
  • Valid Serv Safe® or other approved Food Handler Certification.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
Working Conditions

Restaurant environment. When warranted, may be required to work beyond normal working hours as needed to meet customer needs or restaurant requirements.
