Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Visalia, USA

Speechify is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. It's a role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, focused on designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience.

• Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

• Speed: ability to generate ideas quickly, decide what can ship now, and what needs time.

• Preferred Tech Stack:
  • Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role emphasizes Kotlin Multiplatform)
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
