Bookkeeper - Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting

Description

Robert Half is hiring a Bookkeeper for a busy manufacturing company in Vista that needs a reliable accounting professional to help keep daily financial operations on track! This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a mix of transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting in an environment where accounting works closely with purchasing, inventory, and operations.

You'll help maintain accurate financial records, monitor expenses, and ensure vendor and customer transactions are properly documented. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and comfortable following a transaction from beginning to end.

What You'll Do:

+ Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy.

+ Process vendor invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, and verify approvals.

+ Prepare customer invoices and post incoming payments.

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and selected balance sheet accounts.

+ Track operating expenses and assist with inventory-related transaction records.

+ Research discrepancies involving vendor pricing, purchase orders, credits, and payments.

+ Maintain vendor and customer account records.

+ Assist with weekly payment runs and accounts receivable follow-up.

+ Prepare expense summaries and routine financial reports for management.

+ Support month-end close by gathering documentation and recording recurring entries.

+ Maintain organized records for invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents.

+ Work with purchasing and operations teams to resolve missing information and coding issues.

Requirements

+ 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or related accounting experience.

+ Familiarity with Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or another accounting system.

+

Experience with both AP and AR preferred.

+ Basic understanding of general ledger coding and account reconciliations.

+ Intermediate Excel skills and strong data-entry accuracy.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up on outstanding items.

+ Manufacturing, wholesale, or inventory-based business experience is beneficial.
