POSITION SUMMARY

The Revit Drafter plays a critical role in production, sales, and several other crucial departments within Fading West. This position is responsible for developing precise technical drawings and 3D views using Revit, supporting the fabrication and assembly of modular structures. Responsibilities

• Support the needs of production, engineering, safety, purchasing, sales, marketing, marketing and project management
• Prepare architectural submittal packages, construction plans and manage architectural documents. This includes, but is not limited to, floor plans, elevations, 3d views, sections and details.
• Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, scaling etc.
• Create and manage building information modeling (BIM) models using Revit
• Incorporate factory and construction processes into architectural design elements
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Determine production needs and work with other supporting staff to implement changes and improvements.
• Assist with training and cross training individuals. Reduce waste and address production issues to keep the installation line running smoothly.
• Evaluate data to implement improvements in production and supporting processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in architectural design or related field strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience at an architectural firm preferred
• Competency in Revit software required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Data analytics skills and experience
• Attention to detail. Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
• Basic understanding of residential construction and building codes
