The Plumbing Designer focuses primarily on the design of building‑related projects, including educational campuses, military bases, healthcare facilities, hotels, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, and more using Revit and AutoCAD software.

• Design plumbing drawings for various building types
• Develop system design calculations and select equipment for buildings (e.g., sump pumps, sewage ejectors, water heating systems, water booster stations)
• Prepare detailed design documents
• Write and edit specifications
  
  Conduct code compliance research
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate services with other disciplines
• Conduct site surveys to determine existing conditions
• Provide construction administration support including submittal reviews and RFI responses

• Familiarity with local and state codes, accepted standards, and design guidelines
• Excellent work ethic and character
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Good time management and organizational skills to plan and prioritize obligations to meet deadlines

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in plumbing design for various facility types
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office software
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (preferred)
• EIT/PE (preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and experience in a broad spectrum of building types
