Manufacturing Automation Engineer - Hands-On Innovator Wanted
Salary: $120-140K + Bonus Potential

We're seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Automation Engineer to lead production and packaging automation initiatives, bringing fresh ideas to optimize and expand our cutting‑edge operations.
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, refining, and upgrading packaging and production systems—keeping our lines running at peak performance while identifying new ways to innovate. You'll work directly with engineering leadership, collaborating with maintenance, quality, and production teams to deliver smarter, faster, and more reliable processes.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for filling, bottling, labeling, cartoning, and other packaging systems.
- Program, maintain, and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot automated machinery to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
- Improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Research and apply cutting‑edge automation, robotics, IoT, and smart factory technologies.
- Lead equipment qualifications and ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other industry standards.
- Train production teams on new automation systems and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 6+ years of hands‑on automation experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, supplement, or food manufacturing.
- Expertise with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), HMI/SCADA configuration, and industrial networking.
- Familiarity with robotics (ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa) and vision inspection systems.
- Proven track record in process improvement and automation project delivery.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification highly preferred.
