Therapist/LPHA (Casa Raphael) –
Alpha Project For the Homeless

POSITION TITLE: Therapist/LPHA

DEPARTMENT: Casa Raphael

REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor

FLSA: Full‑Time and Part‑Time available, Non‑Exempt

Therapist/LPHA, in collaboration with the Director of Alcohol and Drug Services, Case Managers, and Substance Abuse Counselors, will provide case management, mental health assessment, group and individual counseling, and develop individual treatment plans.

• Client Treatment (80%)
  • Develop, record, and monitor weekly Individual Treatment Plans to ensure progress.
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments.
  • Facilitate co‑occurring treatment groups.
  • Provide crisis intervention.
  • Provide clinical support to alcohol and drug counselors.
• Administration (10%)
  • Maintain documentation regarding client progress and services in individual case files.
  • Coordinate and schedule client services with internal and external entities to meet treatment goals.
• Reporting & Compliance (10%)
  • Complete and submit time‑sensitive reports to referring entities and/or agents.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual, local, state, and federal mandates, including confidentiality laws.

• Sitting at a desk for long periods.
• Answering or making calls on the telephone for long periods.
• Using a keyboard for research and written communication for long periods.
• Looking at a computer monitor for long periods.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and stooping.
• Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.

Candidates must follow policies and procedures and contribute to a positive work environment through respectful communication.

• Master's in Social Work, Counseling, LCSW, or MFT (required).

• CAARR and/or CAADAC certification preferred.

• 3 – 5 years in case management, mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance abuse fields.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
• Substance abuse treatment experience in a group setting (preferred).
• Strong critical thinking for treatment planning.
• Active listening skills.

• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Clarity).
• Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
