Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing care in a comprehensive, high quality setting. Operate shuttle vehicle primarily between VCC and local sites in San Diego’s North County area. Transport patients and clients in a safe, efficient and positive customer- focused manner. May provide courier services between clinic sites.
- Assist riders in mounting and/or dismounting vehicle including installing and securing child safety seats
- Maintain transportation schedules for patients
- Maintain transportation logs and submit to supervisor on a monthly basis
- Ensure regular maintenance is performed and any mechanical issues are addressed immediately, including cleaning
- Enforce no eating, drinking or smoking policy by riders inside van
- Complete and submit vehicle inspection reports
Minimum
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Clean driving record for a minimum period of three years prior to hire; must maintain clean driving record throughout employment
- Current CPR certification.
- Must successfully complete initial training program
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of VCC facility locations and San Diego’s North County area
- Ability to read/interpret directional maps (e.g., Thomas Bros) and to use GPS systems
- Strong customer focused communication skills
- Ability to drive safely in inclement weather.
- Demonstrated dependability, ability to meet deadlines and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
Pay Range
- $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
