Overview
Parts Clerk – Chula Vista, CA – Transdev is hiring a customer‑service oriented Parts Clerk to perform basic vehicle servicing, cleaning, and fueling with limited supervision. The role involves parts distribution, inventory management, and work‑order posting for vehicle maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities- Distribute requested parts to mechanics and assist with delivery/pick‑up of documents for record retention.
- Research parts numbers from manufacturer catalog or computer and obtain parts from bins to post to computerized work order.
- Compare labor code on requisition to computer code and post parts to work order.
- Retrieve parts/supplies from outside vendors and deliver to specified address.
- Perform audits of parts and materials, order parts from vendor networks, and maintain inventory stock in designated areas.
- Physically count parts/supplies annually as needed and report stock outs or low‑stock problems to Parts Supervisor.
- Perform housekeeping activities: mop, sweep, dust floors, counters, and computers; maintain orderly parts/supply bins and label bin boxes.
- Assist in other activities as assigned, such as boxing parts for shipping.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of parts room experience.
- Computer literate with strong attention to detail.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Indoor and outdoor work environment.
- Vacation: 72 hours per year.
- Paid Sick Leave: 40 hours per year.
$28.50/hr – Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale.
