Medior Engineer Configuration Management; intrim and non-interim

Position: Medior Engineer Configuration Management (intrim and non-interim) (3x)
As a  Configuration Management Engineer (mid-level) , you will be responsible for safeguarding the consistency, traceability, and reliability of product configurations throughout the full lifecycle — from initial proposal through delivery and follow-up. You will be central to engineering activities, shaping configuration processes, ensuring compliance with requirements, and enabling high technical standards across multiple projects.

Main Responsibilities  In this role, your key tasks will include:
Defining and applying configuration management plans tailored to complex technical projects.

Setting up and maintaining product structures, document registers, and project data environments.

Reviewing and validating technical data provided by customers and suppliers.

Establishing and monitoring change control procedures across departments.

Working with PDM/PLM systems (preferably 3

DEXPERIENCE) to organize and manage data structures.

Offering guidance and training to project teams on configuration practices.

Recommending improvements and supporting the development of long-term configuration strategies.

Coordinating with engineering, production, quality, and project management functions to ensure alignment.

Candidate Profile  We are looking for professionals with the following background:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering; experience in shipbuilding or related industries is an advantage.

Practical experience in configuration management and familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (ideally 3

DEXPERIENCE).

Understanding of Systems Engineering methods and principles is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach, especially when handling complex datasets.

A structured and proactive working style, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical data clearly and effectively.

Fluency in English (both spoken and written);
Dutch language skills are considered a plus.

Exclusive EU citizenship with a valid EU passport (a requirement due to project-related security restrictions).
