About CPSAI (Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative):Our Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative’s top priority is the safety and well‑being of children. By treating the alcohol/drug problems of the caregivers, we help provide a more secure environment for children. The programis a collaboration between Center For Family Services and DCP&P. Our certified alcohol and drug counselors conduct evaluations on parents and caregivers who are suspected of having substance abuse problems and when necessary make treatment referrals for them.
Aides provide clients with transportation, communication access to assessment appointments, and case management.
We are looking for a responsible and organized individual to fill the Full Time Counselor Aide position in the CPSAI (Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative) Program. The primary concern of the CPSAI Program is the safety and well‑being of children. By treating the alcohol/drug problems of the caregivers, we help provide a more secure environment for children.

Duties and Responsibilities:A Counselor Aide is needed to transport clients to and from appointments at DCPP Office and first treatment appointments. The Counselor Aid will also assist CADC with case management and perform the clerical aspects of the job. Must have a great driving record of at least 3 years. CPSAI is a collaboration between CFS and the Department of Child Protection and Permanency .
Our certified alcohol and drug counselors are located in county DCPP offices across Southern New Jersey. These counselors conduct evaluations on parents and caregivers who are suspected of having substance abuse problems and when necessary makes treatment referrals for them.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Previous experience in Substance Use Disorder treatment
- Current driver’s license with a good driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
