The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including therapeutic use of self.

The Cooper Voorhees Surgery Center (VSC) is a hospital‑run outpatient surgical center that follows the same clinical standards as Cooper’s main facilities in Camden. As a non‑24/7 center, all patients return home after their procedures, with any complications routed to Cooper in Camden or the nearest appropriate facility. VSC manages its own pre‑admission screening and guides patients through registration, pre‑op preparation, anesthesia, surgical care, and recovery in PACU before discharge.
This streamlined, patient‑focused environment supports high‑quality same‑day surgical care.
- 1‑year minimum of pre‑op and recovery/PACU experience
- Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Current NJ‑RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ‑BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Current NJ‑ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 6 months of hire
- Three (3) shifts per six (6) week schedule
