Cashier​/Sales Associate - 2nd shift

Job Summary

Our second‑shift Sales Associate (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) is responsible for keeping the store clean, welcoming, and running smoothly for every customer. This role requires dependable, hard‑working team members available during later hours who take pride in doing essential work like maintaining restrooms spotless, picking up trash, and ensuring the store is safe and clean.

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales – ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
• Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including:
  • Deep cleaning high‑use restrooms
  • Wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets)
  • Picking up litter and trash from the floor and lot area
  • Taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full.
• Maintain a clean and organized store – sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
• Willingly cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.

• Schedule:
  
  Part‑time, 2nd shift 2 PM‑10 PM.
• Age requirement:
  Must be 18 years of age or older in certain states, 21 in others.
• Availability:
  Must work weekends, holidays, and evenings (typically 2 PM–midnight).
• Willingness:
  Comfortable standing most of the shift, indoor/outdoor in all weather.
• Communication skills:
  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Math proficiency:
  Basic math skills required.
• Physical ability:
  Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
