Job OverviewFull‑time permanent French classroom position starting September 8, 2026. As a French second‑language teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring student achievement as specified in the curriculum guides of French programs. You commit to an inclusive, safe and caring bilingual environment and subscribe to a “students first” philosophy, believing that collaboration is key to your growth as an educator.

- Bachelor of Education – Primary/Elementary with a Minor in French (6 courses).
- NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher.
- Minimum B2 DELF assessment (70% overall, no less than 60% in all 4 components).
- French First Language applicants may be considered equivalent.
- Equivalencies will be considered.
- Annual teacher salary scale within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.
- Incentives pro‑rated for part‑time work or unpaid leave.
- $2,040 allowance paid to all Labrador teachers on a bi‑weekly basis (Article 24.02).
- Subsidised housing units may be available in Labrador City and Wabush.
- Labrador Allowance and Travel Allowance based on school location and dependents; prorated for less than a full school year.
- One‑off round‑trip travel claim (up to $1,700) upon arrival and at year‑end; pro‑rated repayment may be required if contract is broken.
