Elementary Instructional Resource Teacher

Elevate learning as an Instructional Resource Teacher at J.R. Smallwood Middle School in Wabush. This full-time role focuses on individualized programming for diverse learners from September 2026.

The Instructional Resource Teacher supports students through academic intervention and enrichment while promoting social-emotional development. You will engage with colleagues, families, and communities, crafting a safe learning environment that facilitates both academic and personal growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates effective planning, responsive teaching practices, and a passion for fostering leadership among learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized programming for diverse learners

• Plan and implement responsive teaching practices

• Foster positive social interactions in the classroom

• Collaborate with families and community partners

• Evaluate and adapt effective assessment strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or Special Education

• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher

• Knowledge of special education foundations

• Ability to create engaging learning environments

• Proven experience in planning and delivering instruction
