Construction Estimator

We are looking for a detail-oriented construction estimator to prepare project cost estimates for projects ranging in size and complexity up to the $100 million dollar range. The construction estimator should obtain and thoroughly review all relevant project specifications, documents, and bid solicitations and determine the most appropriate means and methods, and secure prices on all resources. You should also be up to date on and review trends in construction to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive.

To ensure success as a construction estimator, you should be able to translate project requirements into concrete figures with ease. A top-notch construction estimator will adhere to financial constraints without compromising on standards.

• Analyze and gain a thorough understanding of requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans
• Prepare material and cost estimates for products and services
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc.
• Interpret and manage bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
• Obtain multiple quotes and negotiate with service providers to secure better prices.
• Maintain a database of unit pricing for material and labor costing.
• Research local, regional, and national development trends and data.
• Other duties as assigned

• Proficient in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn new software
• Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

5+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction field

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
