Christian After School Counselor
Mentoring Alliance is looking for ministry-minded individuals to foster youth development in an after‑school setting, leading elementary students in enrichment activities. The role is non‑exempt, part‑time (average 17‑20 hours per week) and requires devotion to excellence, wholeheartedness, and helping kids reach their full potential. As a Christian ministry, we are committed to mobilizing godly people to touch the lives of kids and families, and we view a Christian Counselor as a Minister of the Gospel.
Qualifications- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Minimum 17 years of age; high school diploma or GED required; some post‑secondary training highly preferred
- Passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children
- Experience with elementary school‑aged children preferred
- Available Monday‑Friday 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First‑Aid certification (mandatory)
- Pass mandatory background/sex‑offender check
- Valid driver’s license or
- Legal employment eligibility in the United States
- Dependable transportation
- Spanish‑speaking ability greatly valued
Part‑time, non‑exempt, 17‑20 hours weekly. Candidates are teachers, youth workers, teen workers, college students, mentors, and more. Eligibility requires CPR/First‑Aid certification, background check, and alignment with faith statement.
