Brief DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to provide legal support to the Brazos River Authority (BRA). The Counsel will provide legal input on proposed courses of action, respond to public information act requests, review and draft contracts, draft organizational policies and procedures, ensure compliance with applicable procurement laws, evaluate potential legislation, perform general legal research and draft memoranda on various legal topics, and assist the General Counsel with public information accounting, compliance issues, regional water planning group administration, contract and document preparation, evaluation and intra‑organizational task coordination.
Additional responsibilities include conducting research, interacting with various departments and the public, and performing any other duties as assigned.

- Licensed to practice law by the Texas State Bar or will be within one year of employment.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) – graduate professional degree in law.
