Manufacturing Technician

Summary & Objective

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for various aspects of transformer manufacture—Welding, Buffing, Winding coils, Lacing coils, Core & Coil Assembly, Tanking, Final Finish.

Essential Functions

• Daily On-Site Attendance.
• Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
• Complete transformer manufacture with consistent speed and accuracy.
• Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently.
• Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.
• Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care.
• Report any machinery issues to management.
• Work cooperatively across Manufacturing Teams to meet dates and goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions.
• Attend all safety and production trainings.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Environment /

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Position Type & Expected Hours

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday—shifts vary per manufacturing department. Depending on workload, there may be occasional longer days and weekends as needed. Employees are expected to work the hours necessary to complete all tasks timely and satisfactorily.

Not required.
