The production worker position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel;
and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting for periods of time throughout the day.
Job Duties
Reads work orders and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
Sweep, mop, and remove debris.
Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
Lubricate equipment.
Measure and pour ingredients.
Ensure conformance to specifications.
Track production on schedule boards.
Mix ingredients.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Mark parts for identification.
Measure length of extruded aluminum.
Screws, cuts, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
Scrape waste material from machine.
Read and interpret gauges.
Record data.
Load and unload processing equipment.
Ship finished products.
Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
Take instructions from supervisors.
ProductionSkills and Qualifications
Requirements include a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent, related experience and/or training with a proven track record of success, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; strong mechanical aptitude and a focus on continuous learning.
