The Manufacturing Engineering Technician (MET) acts as the bridge between the Manufacturing engineers who design a process and the production floor where the product is actually made. While the engineers focus on high-level concept and capital, technicians are the hands‑on specialists who ensure the processes work, and the final products meet quality standards.
Principal Duties- Troubleshooting & Repair:
When a machine on the assembly line fails or starts producing defective parts, the technician is the first responder. They diagnose mechanical, electrical, or software issues (such as PLC programming errors). - Process Optimization:

Conduct tests and measurements on finished goods to ensure they match the original engineering blueprints. - Utilize LEAN tools to compile data such as time studies, work instructions, etc.
- Project Management:
Manage small capital spend projects under the direction of manufacturing engineers to enable facility and process improvements. - Safety:
Champion a safety first mindset and lead by example.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of process improvement techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
