The Machinist sets up and operates various machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders, to make metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions. The ideal candidate must be able to interpret drawings, build parts to tight tolerances, edit and troubleshoot CNC machine code, and produce complex parts to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerance. Basic shop math skills and the ability to utilize correct precision measurement tools and inspection techniques are required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• H/S diploma or GED + a minimum of 6 years machinist experience in mill, router, and lathe.
• Technical Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years machinist experience in mill, router, and lathe.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings/work instructions.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

High School Diploma, Lathe, Mill, and CNC Programming (Plus)
