American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

• 55-bed Emergency Department-Trauma unit
• 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 11:00-23:30
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy scrubs required

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, NIH, and Ascension CPI certifications preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Full SS# and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• Skills checklist required for consideration

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established ED policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient conditions
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rules
• First-time travelers may be considered
