Arborist (Full Time $19-$25 per hr.)-HES Facilities-Waco (3070)

Summary:

Maintain trees and shrubs through systematic pruning and integrated pest management as part of an overall plant health care program for the landscape at a client site in the southwest region of the United States. Supervise and perform daily, specialty tasks such as cabling, bracing, rigging and safe removals of trees.

• Perform daily tree maintenance operations.
• Operate motor vehicles and lift/move equipment, materials, and tools; use climbing gear and rigging equipment; wear protective clothing as required by client and company.
• Follow all company, client, and regulatory agency policies.
• Climbing arborist duties with relevant experience (1 year experience referenced in description).

• Two years of climbing and rigging tree work experience required.
• Two years of arborist tree climbing experience; high school diploma; bachelor’s degree a plus.
• ISA certification a plus; willing to obtain ISA certification within 2 years.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple Instructions; ability to write simple correspondence.

• Physical requirements include lifting up to 90 pounds; ability to climb trees; exposure to hot/cold days.
• Regularly stands, walks, sits; climbs or balances; uses hands for gripping; may lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Work near moving mechanical parts; exposure to electrical risk, outdoor weather conditions, fumes, chemicals; moderate noise level.
