The Busperson supports the dining room team by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient service environment. This role ensures tables are promptly cleared, reset, and prepared for guests, while assisting servers in delivering exceptional hospitality. A Busperson at Diamond Back’s plays a key part in creating a polished, seamless guest experience.
Primary Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Support- Greet guests with warmth when interacting at the table.
- Assist servers by refilling water, clearing plates, and delivering bread or additional items as needed.
- Ensure all tables are clean, polished, and reset swiftly to maximize seating efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of dining room flow and anticipate guest and server needs.
- Clear and clean tables promptly and discreetly between courses.
- Reset tables according to Diamond Back’s standards (flatware placement, glassware, napkins, condiments, etc.).
- Keep service stations stocked with silverware, glasses, napkins, china, and other supplies.
- Polish silverware and glassware to ensure flawless presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, server stations, and hallway areas throughout the shift.
- Ensure floors remain free of debris and spills are cleaned immediately.
- Empty trash, recycling, and bus tubs regularly in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety guidelines strictly.
- Communicate proactively with servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers to support smooth service.
- Assist in running food if trained and directed by management.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, bringing attention to anything that may affect service.
- Support end-of-shift duties, including station breakdown, sweeping, and resetting the dining room for the next service.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy shifts.
- Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required; training provided.
- Uphold the restaurant’s high expectations for hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code guidelines.
- Treat guests and team members with respect, warmth, and integrity at all times.
