Overview
Cashier role at The Home Depot
Responsibilities- Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout and/or returns
- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area
- Proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities
- Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- Assist the Head Cashier by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in supervising, coaching and training other Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop others
- Preferred qualification: 1+ years of Cashier experience
