Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the delivery of anesthesia services on an individualized patient care basis through the nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Standards of Nurse Anesthesia Practice as defined by the medical center and Minnesota Nurse Practice Act.
Job Functions- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Continuously updates current anesthetic knowledge concepts and skills including age‑specific indications.
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
- Able to incorporate RMC policies within scope of practice.
- Utilizes effective communication skills and professionalism in interpersonal relationships with patients, families and other members of the health care team.
- Fosters a learning environment for customers, RMC employees and students.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
- Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota.
- Nurse anesthesia certification and current recertification.
- BLS and ACLS completion must be obtained at the first offering after hire.
- CALS highly recommended for all CRNA call positions at the first opportunity after hire.
- PALS certification or completion within one year from date of hire. Current employees: PALS certification or completion within one year from 6/2024.
Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.

This is an in‑house call position that includes nights and weekend coverage (24 hour shifts). 1.0 FTE required (80 hours a pay period). Set schedule.
