Environmental Services Technician – Assisted Living Facility

Full time – Day shift, 40 hours per week

Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Tasks include emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors. Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools, and techniques to provide a clean and sterile environment for patients/residents and staff. Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to meet health standards.

Wear protective equipment, keep storage, equipment and carts well‑stocked, clean, and tidy. Access pagers and other technology as needed and assist in the laundry areas. Perform physical activities such as lifting and/or moving up to 40–50 lbs, push/pull variable weight limits, and remain on feet for the majority of the shift. Work hours may vary and may include overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals (helpful).
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills (required).
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).
