At the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern.
In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
This post is also open to newly qualified professionals and students who are due to complete their qualification during this calendar year. Successful applicants may receive a conditional offer subject to completion of training and registration.
You will be based in the beautiful North Cornwall area with the North Cornwall Community Nursing Team. We are looking for a caring, motivated and dynamic community nurse to join our large, busy, professional team. We cover several GP practices in the Wadebridge and Tintagel and surrounding areas. Your role will require close collaboration with GP's, health and social care colleagues including therapists and voluntary organisations.
We would like you to possess commitment to team working and embrace innovative delivery of excellent standards of care, have a real enthusiasm for nursing in the community and a desire for ongoing professional development.
You should also have an understanding of the changing climate of care delivery in the community.
The ability to travel independently across the North Locality to support other teams and to fulfil the requirements of the post is essential.
We work a shift model covering 8am-10pm, to include 8 to 4 and 2 to 10 shifts which includes working weekends.
Main duties of the jobFollowing an initial induction and ongoing clinical supervision, you will be responsible for:
- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, without direct supervision, to patients, carers and relatives within their home environment. The aim is to enable them to enjoy maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
- To work in partnership with patients and carers to offer support and advice and promote informed choice.
