Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This role is ideal for IT professionals with hands‑on experience who are ready to step into engineering and architecture responsibilities. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and optimize solutions across hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments. You will work with AWS
, Azure
, Google Cloud
, VMware
, and enterprise infrastructure platforms to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient operations. Beyond day‑to‑day administration, you will drive automation, support cloud migrations, and contribute to the modernization of our technology stack.

This role is based at our Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH) Headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio, supporting multiple banners across our portfolio. This position requires being onsite five days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Develop scalable, resilient, and secure solutions to support business growth.
  • Lead infrastructure projects including migrations, consolidations, and new deployments.
  • Build automation pipelines for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using Power Shell, Python, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • Streamline system deployments, patching, and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging tools and practices to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee enterprise servers, virtualization (VMware), backup/recovery (Veeam), and endpoint management.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning using Zabbix, Ninja One, Cloudflare, and cloud‑native services.
  • Manage identity and access across hybrid environments (Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace).
  • Partner with the security team to harden infrastructure, enforce best practices, and support audits.
  • Implement disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain compliance with data protection and cybersecurity standards.
  • Serve as a technical resource for cross‑functional teams and mentor junior administrators.
  • Partner with leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.
  • Document standards, best practices, and architectural designs to support scaling and knowledge‑sharing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in system administration, cloud platforms, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proven experience with hybrid IT environments, including cloud and on‑premises systems.
Technical Skills & Expertise
  • Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch), Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Virtualization & Backup: VMware vSphere/ESXi administration;
    Veeam backup and disaster recovery.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Power Shell, Python, Terraform, or ARM templates for provisioning and automation.
  • Operating Systems: Advanced administration of Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, Debian), and macOS.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and load balancing.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Zabbix, Ninja One, Cloudflare, and cloud‑native monitoring solutions.
  • Security Tools: Awareness of endpoint security solutions including Microsoft Defender

  • Collaboration Tools: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Teams.
  • Device Management

  • Collaboration & Documentation: Comfortable creating technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and SOPs to support repeatable processes and team knowledge‑sharing.
